Routines = Consistency = Peak Performance
Develop Routines
Routines help you to be consistent in performance. Having a routine that you go through to transition from student to bowler or from shot to shot is necessary in that the routine helps you create the mindset that you need for success.

The image I like to use for routines is that of an hourglass. Like the hourglass shape depicts, the routine has a funneling into the performance and then a funneling out. It creates consistency (the same thing over and over again).
The “moment” for you will arrive sometime this bowling season. It could be to make a tournament cut, winning an individual/team championship with the first strike in the 10th frame, etc. Whatever it may happen to be, the "moment" will arrive. Build your routines so the “moment” is just another shot and the foundation of your peak performance are because of your routines.
Now, go WIN THE DAY!!

Control Your Controllables
Great bowlers are consistent and put all of their energy into what they can control. They never focus on results, outcomes, bad breaks, opponents, etc. These players reflect back on how well they performed based on their controllables in the event and don't waste time on the uncontrollables.
Let's take a look at bowling's controllables and uncontrollables. If you want consistency and peak performance start eliminating your focus on the uncontrollables. Now go Win the Day!
